Two in five men don't have a primary care doctor

Survey conducted among 1,000 men

According to recent research, nearly half of young adult males lack a primary healthcare provider. This demographic trend is particularly concerning among Generation Z men, whose birth years span from 1997 to 2005.

A significant portion of Gen Z males - approximately 37% - do not have an established primary care physician. This statistic is notably higher compared to other age groups in the study.

Interestingly, millennials rank second in terms of the percentage of men without a primary care provider, at 27%. In contrast, only 7% of individuals from older generations (baby boomers and beyond) fall into this category.

This survey, conducted among 1,000 men, aimed to highlight generational differences in health concerns and habits. Experts emphasize the importance of maintaining relationships with primary care providers, especially for younger adults.

Health professionals stress that regular check-ups are crucial for monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels, as well as addressing sexual health concerns. These factors can often indicate underlying health issues.

Across all age groups, men express concern about how their current lifestyle choices might impact their future health. An overwhelming majority - 87% - of respondents expressed worries about the long-term effects of their present health habits.
