The issue was flagged when Reser’s Fine Foods identified the use of FDA-recalled breadcrumbs possibly contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This recall follows recent similar actions involving Reser’s products made with the same breadcrumbs, including tuna salads recalled by Albertsons in several states.
No illnesses have been confirmed so far. However, listeria poses a serious health risk, especially for older adults, pregnant women, and those with weakened immune systems.
Consumers are advised to check their products and avoid consumption if purchased.
