Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen Hospitalized After Horse Riding Incident

Governor Pillen Remains in Good Spirits as He Receives Treatment Following Fall from Horse

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen was hospitalized Sunday after being thrown from a horse, according to a statement from his office. He remains "alert" and is in regular contact with his team.

The incident occurred while Pillen and his family were on horseback with a new horse when the bucking occurred. He was initially taken to Columbus Community Hospital for evaluation, but was later transferred to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha “out of an abundance of caution.”
