The Bentley-Gallup Business in Society Report survey, released Wednesday, found that 79 percent of Americans do not know the cost of their health care before receiving care, while just 17 percent said they do. The account for "Sesame Street's" famous red muppet, Elmo, took to X on Monday to ask users a seemingly straightforward question: "Elmo is just checking in! How is everybody doing?"
The inquiry was met with an outpouring of angst and existential dread form thousands of social media users who told Elmo things aren't actually going too well for them.
With over 47,000 reposts, 12,000 replies and over 175 million views as of Wednesday morning, the post drew responses from everyday people, sports team, celebrities, lawmakers in Congress and even President Biden.

A group of Democratic senators called on the Biden administration Tuesday to completely deschedule marijuana, arguing the White House's recommendations to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to reschedule the drug do not go far enough to address the harm that has occurred from the current system.
In a letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland and DEA Administrator Anne Milgram, 11 Democratic senators, along with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), argued the administration "should deschedule marijuana altogether."
