Former President Bill Clinton was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday morning after being admitted the day before for flu-related symptoms, according to his spokesperson.

In a post on social media, spokesperson Angel Ureña shared that Clinton and his family were thankful for the excellent care provided by the team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and appreciated the support and well wishes from the public. "He sends his warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season to all," Ureña added.

Clinton was admitted to the hospital on Monday after developing a fever. Ureña had reported that the former president was in good spirits and grateful for the care he was receiving.

Clinton had been actively campaigning in support of Vice President Harris in the 2024 presidential race, having recently spoken at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. In 2021, he was hospitalized for five days after being treated for sepsis caused by an infection.
